How do I place my order?
You can click the tab that says "Custom Order Form" up top of this website to put in a request for a custom order. I will get back to you to confirm my availability and discuss any other needed information as soon as I can. You are also welcome to message me through Facebook, Instagram, or e-mail me at courtney@justbakingstuff.com!

How soon should I place my order?
I recommend placing your order at least two weeks in advance. This gives me the time I need to make sure I can make your order perfect just for you! This Includes time for planning and obtaining any new materials or ingredients. You are also welcome to place your order earlier than two weeks in advance, if you'd like.

Can I change my order after it has been placed?
Changes can only be accepted up until one week before the pickup date. Keep in mind that if custom materials have been ordered, I may not be able to accommodate your request for changes. If additional materials need to be purchased to accommodate your changes, a fee may be applied.

My event is less than two weeks away, can I still place an order?
I will do my best to see if I can squeeze you into a place in my calendar, but there will be a $25 rush fee if your event is one week away or less. Please note that I may not be able to include complex shapes or more intricate designs, but I will do my best to come up with a set that compliments your theme and that you are excited for!

Can my cookies be individually wrapped?
All of my sugar cookies are individually wrapped in order to guarantee freshness. One end will have a zig zag shape to make for easy opening!

How long will my cookies stay fresh?
Once opened, the cookies will stay fresh for a day or two. If you leave the cookies heat sealed and in a place that's cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight, they will stay fresh for up to 4 weeks, maybe longer. If you follow the freezing instructions sent along with your cookies, they can stay fresh and delicious for up to three months!

Can I freeze my cookies?
Yes, you can! Freezing instructions come with every order of sugar cookies. If you have lost your instructions or need them again, please email me at courtney@justbakingstuff.com.

Do you require payment in full when placing an order?
Yes, all orders must be paid in full in order for you to secure your place on my calendar. Payment is required up front in order to source colors, cutters, packaging, and anything else that might be required to complete your custom order.

Can I cancel my order?
I can offer a 50% refund on your custom order if I am contacted more than 1 week prior to your pick up date. Unfortunately, orders cancelled with less than 1 week notice cannot be refunded.

I have a specific dietary allergy, are you able to accommodate that?
At this time, I am not a gluten free baker, nor can I guarantee that what I bake is not cross contaminated with allergens like peanuts or tree nuts. Because I am a Cottage Food baker, I do all my baking at home. And because I'm baking in my home, I also have products like peanut butter and regular flour that are used in my kitchen regularly, where I bake. All cookies, however, include an ingredient list on the back to make sure you know exactly what is in the cookies you purchased and would like to enjoy.

Custom Orders

Do you do custom cookie orders?
Yes, I do! In order to make sure you have a place on my calendar, please place your order at least two weeks in advance. Custom orders require a one dozen minimum and prices start at $36 per dozen and can go up depending on the design and the complexity.

Can you create an exact replica of a cookie I have a picture of?
You may provide images and inspiration photos when inquiring about custom cookies. I will make every effort to match colors and/or designs that you really like, but each sugar cookie is handmade and, as such, I cannot guarantee an exact replica.

Will you share pictures of my cookies online?
I photograph all cookies that I make in order to add them to my portfolio. I may share some of those photos on my website and social platforms to showcase the art I create. As long as the date of your event is shared with me, your cookies will not be posted until after your event.

Pickup / Delivery / Shipping

How do I schedule my pickup?
Your pickup date is set upon ordering your cookies. Once that date is set, I cannot guarantee availability to change your pickup date. The week of your cookie pickup date, I will contact you in order to set up a time that works for you, so make sure you're on the lookout for an email or a message from me.

What happens if I do not pick up my cookies on the agreed upon pickup date?
Your cookies are made to be enjoyed fresh! Not showing up at the agreed upon day, without any attempt to contact me, can result in the forfeiture of your cookies. If you need to reschedule your pickup date, please contact me at least 3 days prior to your pickup date.

Do you offer delivery or shipping?
At this time, the majority of orders are pickup only. I can sometimes offer delivery, for an additional fee, if the delivery address is within 10 miles of the pickup location. Unfortunately, at this time, I am unable to ship my cookies due to Maryland's Cottage Food Law.

What happens if my cookies get damaged after I pick them up?
Once an order is picked up or sent out for delivery, I am no longer responsible for broken or damaged cookies. I do everything I can to package every order of cookies to insure that they arrive intact and beautiful for your event. If you experience some problems and need to order some replacement cookies, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at courtney@justbakingstuff.com.

What happens if I cannot pick up my order due to bad weather or an emergency?
I do not offer refunds due to inclement weather, but I will make every effort to make sure your cookies are as fresh as possible. If you do experience an emergency, weather related or not, please contact me as soon as you can so that we can arrange an alternate pickup or delivery date.
